Plapp has recently departed the team at InForm TMX MAKE, signing for the British professional cycling team, INEOS. Plapp’s skills and determination will set him up extremely well heading into the Time Trial race on Monday the 20th of September.

Plapp has endured a busy schedule over the past few months. Beginning by completing his Olympic campaign in Tokyo with a bronze medal in the Team Pursuit. To then announce his signing with INEOS Grenadiers. After the Olympic games, Plapp touched down in Europe and headed straight to one of the highest regarded U23 races in the world, Tour De L’Avenir.

 Unfortunately in Stage 1 of the Tour, Plapp came unstuck and fractured his elbow. With only a month to recover before the World Championships TT commenced, Plapp set himself the task to recover. Recover he did, returning to the road with only a few days before the start of the race.

The TT weapon we all know as Luke Plapp, is aiming high in this race. His sight is set on a rainbow jersey. In a recent interview with SBS World Cycling, Plapp commented on his position heading into the race.

"With the prep I’ve done, I don’t have any base behind me on the road. Hopefully, I can be there around time check one and from there get told I’m close and hold it to the finish line. That’s how I’ll race it. I should be ok, if you go into the race thinking you can... you might”

The team at InForm TMX MAKE look forward to watching Luke race and are sending him all our best wishes and support.

Another TT expert,  Carter Turnbull is set to race tomorrow in the World Championships. Turnbull has also endured a packed schedule of riding. In early July, he embarked on the next step of his cycling journey. Heading to Europe and pursuing a summer of racing with TRINITY.

The partnership with TRINITY Racing allowed Turnbull’s skills to shine. Excelling in the time trial races, along with being an extremely strong climber, Turnbull took Europe by storm and impressed many.

Competing in a number of races with the TRINITY Racing team. Carter Turnbull was then selected to race in the Tour De L’Avenir, alongside fellow InForm TMX Make riders; Rudy Porter and Luke Plapp. Upon successfully completing the Tour De L’Avenir, Turnbull has been training in Europe and is gearing up to head into the U23 World Championships.

When asked his feelings heading into tomorrows race, Turnbull responded;

β€œI’ve been feeling good in training, so I’m very much looking forward to the Time Trial at the world champs. The TT circuit looks extremely fast and with a predicted tail wind it will be very quick. The course is a bit different to recent years as they have traditionally had some sort of hill along the route, but this year the course is pan flat.”  - Carter Turnbull

With plenty of TT experience up his sleeve, we look forward to seeing Carter fly around the circuit.

InForm TMX MAKE is proud to see these two young riders participating in the U23 UCI World Championships for the Time Trial. We encourage everyone to wish them the best of luck for tonight’s race.
