Rudy Porter Set to Race Tour of Britain

InForm TMX Make rider, Rudy Porter has been selected to race in the 2021 Tour of Britain. Porter has been selected to be apart of the TRINITY Racing squad in their debut to the Tour of Britain.

The British registered UCI Continental team will include Rudy Porter and fellow TRINITY Racing team mates; Christopher Blevins (USA), Thomas Gloag (GBR), Ben Healy (IRE) Luke Lamperti (USA) and Max Walker (GBR).

The roster will be completed by young Australian rider Rudy Porter, who has really impressed since joining the team (via TRINITY’s collaboration with Australian based team, InForm TMX Make.) - TRINITY Racing

This upcoming event will be a great test for Rudy Porter, he will be going head to head with some of the best teams in professional cycling. In a recent Interview with Porter, he let us know his feelings towards the upcoming race.

Tour of Britain Preview

The Tour of Britain will be taking place between the 5th and 12th of September. Consisting of 8 Stages, The Tour of Britain is returning after COVID-19 put it on pause last year. The route that was planned for 2020 – from Penzance to Aberdeen – will be used this year for the 17th edition of the UK’s most prestigious and longest-running international cycle race.

Stage One will commence the race. This stage sees the world’s best riders tackle 180.8km from Penzance to Bodmin on Sunday 5 September, this stage concludes with a challenging fast run into the town centre of Bodmin. Riders will then climb for 500 metres, that begins with a 13% incline and averages a gradient of 5%.

Stage Two, will follow the race to Devon. This stage begins in Sherford and ends in Exeter, consisting of 183.9km.

Wales will host Stage Three and Stage Four. Stage Three, the Time Trial, will commence in Ffairfach near Llandeilo, passing through the stunning scenery of the Tywi Valley before reaching the finish line at the National Botanic Garden of Wales in Llanarthney. Following this, Stage Four. “ The Queen stage” will start by the sea in the harbour town of Aberaeron and culminate with a dramatic finish atop the Great Orme in Llandudno, consisting of 210km.

Stage Five, a day of racing that begins in Alderley Park and culminates in Warrington for a finish outside the town’s famous Golden Gates. 152.2km long, Stage five will host some tough climbs.

Beginning in Carlisle and ending in Gateshead, stage six, a 198km race will take place on Friday 10 September. Just one day before the conclusion of the Tour, stage 7. Hawick to Edinburgh, will take place with 194.8km of riding.

Aberdeen to Aberdeenshire a 174km stage, will host the final stage of the 2021 Tour of Britain.
