NRS on Zwift Race 2 Preview
The second edition of the National Road Series on Zwift will take place at 10 am this Saturday, May 16th on the NYC KOM After-Party course.
After finishing fourth overall in race 1 a fortnight ago, Pat Eddy will feature in the InForm TM Insight MAKE team that also includes Blake Agnoletto, Tom Benton, Sam Eddy, and Mark O’Brien.
Tom Benton is a frequent user of the Zwift platform. He has been using it throughout the COVID-19 cycling shut down to keep fit, motivated, and competitive.
“It allows people to use an online platform to race, which is making a big difference for someone like me who is competitive,” Benton said.
Race 2 will take place on the NYC KOM After-Party course. Riders will be required to complete 3 laps of the Gotham Grind route, which stays on the ground-level roads of the lower and middle Central Park loops. The course distance is 37km and the elevation is 440m.
The race will finish with the “forward KOM” (1.2km, 6.4%), which will be a factor in the finish.
“The climb at the end will have people finish in drips and drabs, which will make it a tough race but we have a strong team,” Benton said.
The race will begin at 10 am and will be live streamed to Zwift and the National Road Series Facebook Page.
