2019 in Review: Drizners Wins the National Road Series, InFom TM Insight MAKE Takes 2nd in Teams' Classification
In what has been the biggest, most exciting year so far for InForm TM Insight MAKE, the National Road Series finished with Jarrad Drizners taking individual classification honours, Freienstein finishing in fourth, and the InForm TM Insight MAKE team narrowly missing out on the teams’ classification win for second place.
Finishing off with a very challenging Tour of Tasmania, it was Freienstein who had the most dominant performance, with a third place in the prologue, and a huge criterium win in the final stage of the 2019 National Road Series.
Taking out eight NRS stages, two general classification wins and three Australian titles this year, our cyclists remained prominent at each and every turn of the NRS, and while we didn’t walk away with the win, we could not be prouder of how the team performed on and off the road in 2019.
With the 2020 season looming, the boys are already looking forward to getting stuck into the Road Nationals (which kicks off on January 8), as well as partaking in the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race and the Herald Sun Tour.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors and fans for the support in what has been a huge year for our team.

Pat Lane:
Tour of Tasmania was always going to be a tough one for the boys, we knew it would be the hardest tour for us to get results due to the large climbs. The boys put up a great fight taking out 5, 9 & 11th on GC plus a stage win. With everything that was going on that week it was really impressive to see how positive the guys could be and keep fighting each day.
Raph has been super reliable for us and once we saw him in the break and the gap going out, we all started getting pretty excited. Seeing him finish it off was just awesome!
Finishing the year with 8 NRS wins & 3 national titles is something we would have never imagined. We have won twice as many NRS races as any other team and I’m extremely proud of how the boys have come together. Seeing Jarrad move onto Axeon next year is another highlight for the year, it’s awesome to see our program could help him get there!
Jarrad Drizners:
“It’s been an awesome year with the whole team, and it’s a great feeling to be able to win the NRS after all the hard work from everyone. I owe this team a lot, and I wish I could’ve done some more to secure the overall teams classification. While I am obviously incredibly excited for my next adventure in the USA with Axeon, I will miss this team greatly and thank them for everything they did for me.”
