Brenton Jones will be Joining InForm for Remainder of 2021

We are excited to announce that exceptional sprinter, UCI rider and top athlete, Brenton Jones has signed with InForm TMX Make for the remainder of the 2021 season.

With challenges due to Covid-19 and lockdown measures, Brenton chose to remain in Australia for the remainder of this season. This decision sadly means Brenton will not be joining Canyon dhb SunGod  in the UK. However, the InForm team is incredibly excited to be gaining a talented rider.

“Unfortunately I didn’t end up making it back to Europe this year due the struggles of the pandemic, I’m looking to stay in Australia and follow some new opportunities”

InForm eagerly reached out to Jones, jumping at the opportunity to gain a talented rider and give him the chance to continue racing, whilst remaining in the land down under.
Brenton will be a great addition to the team, bringing his successes and experiences to the younger riders and also looking to achieve the best possible results for himself and the team.

“I am looking forward to riding with new teammates and sharing my experiences with them, whilst helping to motivate the team for success. I’m not going to be heading to races to roll around. The races I am going to I want to be in great form. If it’s not me winning I’d like to be helping someone else from the win.”

Brenton’s positive attitude and motivation will fit in perfectly with our likeminded team.

“I am excited to help mentor some of the Junior riders and am hoping to get the best out of everyone on the team.”

Brenton will bring hard work and determination to all of us at InForm TMX Make, this determination and motivation is what has seen Brenton through some incredibly successful and exciting stages in his life.

As many of us already know, Brenton’s previous results and experiences have been quite inspiring.

Brenton has won eleven UCI Professional races with victories across Asia and Africa throughout his international career. Other career highlights include racing Paris-Roubaix on two occasions, lining up at Paris-Nice and winning the UK Tour Series with former team JLT Condor.

In Australia, Brenton is well known for winning multiple stages in the National Road Series between 2012-2014.

Brenton was also crowned overall winner of the Bay Criterium Series in 2014 and Australian Criterium Champion in 2019.

Brenton’s cycling journey began at a young age, riding with Warragul Cycling Club from U9 – U17. He then represented Australia in the 2009 Mountain Bike World Championships, along with a few Mountain Bike World Cups over in Europe.

Brenton’s accomplishment in mountain biking took him on to get signed with Geneseys (now Bridglane)- the Top NRS team at the time. Completing a few seasons with Bridglane, Brenton then got picked up by Drapac Professional Cycling and Australian Pro Team. Brenton has been racing professionally in Europe over the past four years.

Brenton’s biggest strength is his ability to sprint.

“As a rider, sprinting is a strong weapon that has enabled me to achieve top performances during my career to date. I feel by having that top-end power, it will be another asset to the team for the races that end in lead-outs and sprints. I am a very determined person and when I put my mind to something, I am able to work super hard to try and make it happen.”

It is hoped that the next race and Brenton’s debut race with InForm TMX Make will be the Tour of Gippsland.

“I would love to see the Tour of Gippsland take place in early October. It's a race that takes riders through my local region, where I've spent countless hours training over the years. I feel we can do well as a team at this event. I know the roads well and sometimes having that local knowledge can be a benefit, so I'm excited to race this event”

We look forward to welcoming Brenton to the team.
